Which cable do I need?

For NZ/AU controllers (ATSC4, ATC, Tyco, Eclipse, QTC, SWARCO) you need a USB-to-DB9 Female RS-232 (FTDI) NULL MODEM cable. For UK/EU (TOPAS 2500B), a USB-to-DB25 Male RS-232 (FTDI). For US/CA (NEMA TS2), a USB-to-DB9 Male RS-232 (FTDI). Plus a USB-C OTG adapter if your phone has a USB-C port.

Do I need root access?

No, HHTraff does not require root. It works on standard Android devices (8.0+) with USB OTG support.

Can I use HHTraff on iOS/iPhone?

Accepted Answer

No, HHTraff is Android-only. iOS severely restricts USB serial access and does not allow direct USB serial communication for third-party apps.

HHTraff supports any controller with a text-based RS-232 serial interface. NZ/AU: ATSC4, ATC, Tyco, Eclipse, QTC, SWARCO (confirmed working). UK: TOPAS 2500B, TR 2500, MCE 0141. US/CA: NEMA TS2, Peek ATC-1000, McCain, Econolite.
